100 Years of the Anton-Renk Hut – Anniversary Celebrations 2026

The Anton-Renk Hut will celebrate its 100th anniversary in the summer of 2026. To mark this special occasion, the Aachen Section of the German Alpine Club invites you to a week of festive celebrations in Ried im Oberinntal and around the hut.

The celebrations will kick off on Sunday, 26 July 2026 from 6 pm with a summer festival at Lindenplatz in Ried im Oberinntal. This will be followed by the anniversary week from 27 July to 2 August 2026, featuring guided hikes, summit tours and a varied supporting programme.

Mountain and tour programme:

• 27 July 2026: Hike & ascent of the Zirmesspitze
• 28 July 2026: Alpine flora excursion & via ferrata
• 29 July 2026: Tour on the Aachen High Trail
• 30 July 2026: Karlspitze & star hike
• 31 July 2026: Ascent of the Pfroslkopf
• 1 August 2026: Kuppkarlesspitze

Anniversary film evenings

Film screenings organised by the Alpine Club will take place on the first floor of Sigmundsried Castle.

• Tuesday, 28 July 2026 | 7.30 pm: Manaslu and Annapurna Treks
• Thursday, 30 July 2026 | 7.30 pm: “Loven” – film screening

The celebrations will culminate in the anniversary weekend on 1 and 2 August 2026 with a hut evening, music and a mountain mass.
